Affordability/eligibility: info you provide (e.g., income, employment, turnover); credit status you select (Excellent/Good/Fair/Poor/Unsure).
Documents: photo ID, proof of address, driving licence, insurance proof; for businesses, incorporation and director details.
Comms data: messages via forms, email, phone, WhatsApp; call notes in our CRM.
Technical data: IP address, device/browser, pages viewed, cookies/pixels (see Cookie Policy).
Marketing preferences: your opt-in choices.
We do not intentionally collect children’s data. Do not send data that is unnecessary or contains special category data unless we explicitly request it.

We share only what’s necessary with trusted providers under contract:

We require processors to keep data secure and process it only on our instructions.
6) Credit checks & verification
For some applications we perform soft searches first (no impact on your score). If you proceed with an offer, a hard search may be required and can affect your credit file. We will tell you before any hard search. We may also verify ID/addresses, driving entitlements and insurance. If you do not provide requested information, we may be unable to proceed.
7) International transfers
Some providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we use safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
8) How long we keep data

Enquiries/Applications: for the life of the enquiry and up to 6 years thereafter (legal/audit).

Contract records & invoices: up to 6 years (statutory).

Marketing data: until you opt out or we remove inactive contacts.
We may retain longer where required by law or to establish/defend legal claims.
9) Your rights
You can access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and exercise data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to resolve concerns first.
10) Marketing choices
We’ll only send marketing where you’ve opted in (or where permitted by law to business contacts). You can unsubscribe from emails or tell us to stop SMS/WhatsApp at any time.
